I remind you nurses how great a good long bath is, to relieve stress and prep yourself for sleep.
The bath was fairly long about a half hour, with plenty of bubbles. I found that I was starting to fall asleep in the tub so I rinsed and got out of the tub, dressed and went to bed.
The next morning was the morning from hell, I was getting ready for work and I had a rash and hives on by back and arms. Well, like a good nurse I took some benedryl and went to work.
The rash and hives continued to "grow" all day and the itching was very uncomfortable. The benedryl just was not cutting it.
So like a very stubborn nurse I waited until I got home to do any thing about the hives and itching.
My son was watching me suffer and noticed the hives spreading. he said "mom enough already I'm taking you to urgent care".
Well to make a long story short I got a script for Predisone and a strong antihistamine, five days worth. The medications of course did the trick. True,I looked like someone from a science fiction movie.
The moral of my story is rinse will after a bubble bath, use small amount of bubble stuff, and rinse, rinse , rinse!!
I don't profess to know every thing, I learn the hard way most times.
I hope my story will spark you to share your own stories.
Oh,I decided to use bath salts in moderation the next time I do a tub bath!!
